Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko President Andrew Hladyshevsky, Q.C. Received the Order of Merit From President of Ukraine
Toronto – Wednesday May 28th, 2008 during the community breakfast meeting, Shevchenko Foundation President Andrew Hladyshevsky Q.C. received the Order of Merit from the President of Ukraine, Victor Yushchenko.
The Order of Merit is awarded to citizens of Ukraine and foreign countries for distinguished personal achievements in economic, scientific, technological, cultural, military, state, public and other spheres of social activities.
The Order of Merit originates from the Honorary Award of the President of Ukraine, the first decoration of independent Ukraine instituted on August 18, 1992.
