SHEVCHENKO FOUNDATION SECURES PLACE
ON THE WORLD WIDE WEB

February 13, 2003

Winnipeg - The Ukrainian Canadian Foundation of Taras Shevchenko (UCFTS) today announced the launch of their Website at www.shevchenkofoundation.com.

"This is an exciting moment for the Foundation," said President Andrew Hladyshevsky, Q.C. "From this website we will be better able to showcase to the world, and all Canadians, our strong and vibrant community."

The initial information on the Website will highlight those individuals who have become Kobzar Fellows, offer ways to provide ongoing support to the Foundation, and allow for filing of grant applications on-line. Press releases on Foundation funded programs will be showcased, as well as, the development of a community profile page is currently being developed and will be posted on the site in the very near future. Regular updates will be made to the site in order to continue to inform the community on the Foundations and communities activities.

"Having an email and Internet presence has become an important ongoing marketing, development and informational tool for organizations such as the Foundation," said Executive Director Lesia Szwaluk. "As this site develops it is our hope that it will become a communications hub from which to promote, enhance and generate ongoing support for the work of our community."
